Fragonard marks its first century with a Paris show opening 13 November

Paintings, scent bottles and eighteenth-century costumes are about to fill the salons of the Monnaie de Paris. The Grasse perfume house Fragonard is presenting "Fragonard, 100 Years of Collections and Craft" there from 13 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 to mark its centenary.
An exhibition drawn from the house's collections
According to Unidivers, the event gathers paintings, art objects and period costumes from the house's collections. Sortiraparis adds that some pieces are shown outside Grasse for the first time. It announces more than 250 works and objects in its introduction but cites 270 in the body text: both figures appear in the same article.
What visitors will see
Per Sortiraparis, the route includes paintings by Jean-Honoré Fragonard, born in Grasse in 1732, by Marguerite Gérard, by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun and by several other artists, nearly one hundred perfumery and grooming items, around twenty costumes and accessories, and scent installations inspired by eighteenth-century formulas. Unidivers mentions an olfactory scenography designed by the Nathalie Crinière agency and names Philippe Costamagna, Charlotte Urbain and Clément Trouche as curators.
Practical information
Also according to Unidivers, admission costs 12 euros (reduced rate 8 euros) and is free for visitors under 26. The usual free first Sunday of the month does not apply to this exhibition. The venue is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with late opening on Wednesday until 9 p.m., and closed on 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027. A perfume-making workshop, for children aged 8 and over, lasts 45 minutes and costs 30 euros (20 euros reduced or for under-26s); each participant leaves with a 12 ml bottle.
